Perry Hotter and the Magic Wand Word By Caroline S. Mackay
This is a one act play featuring Perry Hotter, Juan, Geranium, Stumbledorf, and Witch Wannawanna. Perry is confronted by Drug Dealers that have invaded the school. He must find a solution to the problem. He soon learns that all the magic will not defeat them, but the muggles can.

Sample Dialogue:
PERRY HOTTER & THE MAGIC WAND WORD

(Perry rushes in from the left side of the stage wearing no glasses and has his cape on and open. He stops center stage and looks both ways then turns and talks to the audience.)
PERRY: (excitedly) It’s horrible! Something dangerous is loose in the castle. It must be found or we are all doomed.
(Perry rushes off through the audience and will go around and come back in on the right side of the stage. He should be talking to the audience saying things like “Be careful. Don’t be scared, yet! We have to stop it now or it will be too late.)
(Geranium and Juan enter from either side of the stag, Geranium from the left carrying Perry’s glasses and Juan from the right. They should not enter until Perry is out of sight. They stop center stage facing each other and be sure to speak facing the audience.)
GERANIUM: Juan have you seen Perry? He was so upset when I last saw him that he lost his glasses.
JUAN: Geranium I don’t know. When I last saw him he was mumbling and say no, no, anything but that.
GERANIUM: I heard that the school has been invaded again by something awful. It must be really bad because I’ve never seen Perry so upset.
JUAN: This must be really bad because he has faced dangerous dragons.
GERANIUM: …and wicked wizards…
JUAN: …and slithering hissing snakes…..
GERANIUM: …and even wand waving wicked witches.
JUAN: (puts hands on hips) so just what is this new danger?
GERANIUM: I don’t know. He just started shaking and shouting “No, no, no, it can’t be and then he ran off.
JUAN: Well let’s go find him and see if we can help.
(Juan and Geranium exit to the left.)
(Perry rushes on from stage right after Juan and Geranium are out of sight.)
PERRY: (looks behind him) Oh, oh here they come. They are so dangerous. I’m scared to death. I think that I will hide. (Perry goes out in the audience and hides behind a teacher and tells the audience SHH.)
(5 normal students enter carrying signs with their names printed large on them. They should not show the sign until directed to, and then they should hang the sign around their neck so that it hangs on the back and the front.))
MARIJUANA: This is a real cool castle.
COCAINE: I like the capes. I think that they could be useful. You could hide a lot of stuff in a cape.
