‘TWAS THE NIGHTMARE OF DRUGS
(The potential drug taker is on stage with a table and drug paraphernalia is laid out on it. This person acts out what the narrator is saying
NARRATOR: ‘Twas the night of my birthday and I was real scared.
I was going to do drugs if I really dared. (Is sitting at table)
The paraphernalia was spread out all over the table
I felt all alone and somewhat unstable. (hugs self and shivers)
I shivered; I shook, as I picked up the needle. (picks up needle)
When all of a sudden, my room was filled with people.
(Mom, dad, friends, teacher and grandpa with a cane hurry onto stage.)
My mamma in her apron, and my Dad in his cap,
My good friends, my teacher and even Grandpa Jack.
They all started talking, causing much chatter
(Everyone starts talking)
I sprang from my seat saying (springs from seat to the mike)
